Sustainable development, low impact development, green building – whatever terms you choose to use, the central premise for all of these practices is the same: employing building practices that soften our impact on the environment.

The Lancaster County Planning Commission has developed this resource list to assist homeowners, builders, developers, neighborhood associations, and community development organizations … anyone that is trying to walk more lightly on the earth.
